Birds of the Coast

May 6 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$30

With its open waters, offshore rocks, sandy beaches, estuaries, and towering forests, the Oregon Coast is home to a myriad of fascinating bird species. This class will introduce you to the seabirds (like murres and puffins), waterfowl, gulls, shorebirds, and cormorants that are hard to find anywhere else. We will highlight some of the best birding spots on the north coast and give you tips for birding these areas safely and effectively. Join us as we learn about some of the unique birds you can find on your next trip to the beach!

Join us for the companion Birding Day to this digital class! We’ll practice what you learned in class out in the field.
