SATURDAYS: Bird Song Walks at Powell Butte with People of Color Outdoors
Free

This event is reserved for people of color.
Come check out all the spring birds at Powell Butte in outer SE Portland. Spring is an amazing time to see new birds and listen for their unique songs. These events will focus on listening for birds and learning their different songs. But we will definitely stop to watch birds and connect with each other.
Some special birds we might see at Powell Butte include American Goldfinch, Common Yellowthroat and Savannah Sparrow.
No birding experience necessary and 1st timers are welcome! Binoculars will be provided.
** Please note: Powell Butte has steep inclines, uneven terrain, and is more of a moderate hike than our usual bird outing locations. **
Register for this event through POCO’s Meetup Page.
Join us Saturday, April 12 and Saturday, May 3!
