UNA CELEBRACIÓN DE HUEHCA OMEYOCAN : OFRENDA A NUESTRO OCEANO SANADOR

Come celebrate and honor the healing power of the ocean with an offering full of tradition and good vibes.

Esta inscripción es solo para la Celebración del Océano del 2 de agosto. Los talleres del 1 de agosto son gratuitos y abiertos a todos — no es necesario registrarse, ¡simplemente preséntate!

This registration is for the August 2nd Ocean Celebration only. The August 1st workshops are free and open to all — no registration needed, just show up!

Ven a celebrar 10 años de la ceremonia oceánica de Huehca Omeyocan con dos días de talleres culturales gratuitos, danza y comunidad en la Costa de Oregón.

11:30AM: Taller de Sanación con Sonido con Medicina del Corazón (Ubicación: Campo de softbol- ver mapa)
1PM: Taller de Elaboración de Flautas de Cerámica con Samuel Becerra (Ubicación: Área de campamento – ver mapa)* ESPACIOS LIMITADOS
3PM: Taller de Danza con David Mazatl (Ubicación: Playa – ver mapa)
4:30PM: Taller de Canto y Percusión con Huitzil Shop (Ubicación: Área de campamento – ver mapa)
6:00PM: Ceremonia de las Flores (Ubicación: Área de campamento – ver mapa)

Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS, Oregon Shores, Consejo Hispano, Neah-Kah-Nie Coast Art & Music Cultural Foundation (NCAM), OSU Extension y el Programa Juntos Afuera estarán presentes con oportunidades educativas para explorar, aprender, celebrar y actuar por el océano.

Información Adicional:

  • Se aceptan donaciones con gratitud
  • Se recomienda registrarse, aunque no es obligatorio
  • Estacionamiento GRATUITO en las instalaciones de la escuela
  • Por favor ten en cuenta la salud del océano: recoge tu basura, usa botellas y utensilios reutilizables, y desecha los residuos de alimentos adecuadamente
  • Trae una cobija o silla de camping, algo para comer y beber, y disfruta un día en la playa
  • Prepárate para el clima costero cambiante

1PM: Ceramic Whistle Making workshop with Samuel Becerra (Location: Camp Site-see map)* LIMITED SPACES
3PM: Danza workshop with David Mazatl (Location: Beach-see map)
4:30PM: Singing and drumming workshop with Huitzil Shop (Location: Camp site-see map)
6:00PM: Ceremony of Flowers (Location: Camp site-see map)

AUGUST 2nd,2026 from 11:00- 3:30—HUEHCA OMEYOCAN DANCE PERFORMANCE and Educational Activities by local organizations:

11:00- 2:00PM Dance Ceremony on Softball field

~2:00PM: Procession across Hwy 101 to the ocean

2:00-3:00PM Dance Ceremony on Beach

Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS, Oregon Shores, Consejo Hispano, Neah-Kah-Nie Coast Art & Music Cultural Foundation (NCAM), OSU Extension, and the Juntos Afuera Program will be there with educational opportunities to explore, learn, celebrate, and act for the ocean.

Additional Logistics:

  • DONATIONS APPRECIATED!
  • Registration is encouraged but not required
  • Parking is FREE on school grounds
  • Please keep the health of the ocean in mind and keep track of trash, use reusable water bottles and utensils, and dispose of food waste appropriately
  • Bring a blanket or camp chair, some snacks, and drinks, and enjoy a day on the beach
  • Be prepared for dynamic coastal weather
