SUMMARY:Plant ID Hike at L.L. Stub Stewart State Park
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the Discovery Depot Visitor Center. Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike focused on exploring the wonderful world of summer in the pacific northwest! Learn about how plants survive\, fight off pests\, communicate\, and the seasonal cycle of wildflowers\, and native edible species. \nPets are welcome to join but must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Children must be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian. \nThis hike will be approximately 1.5 miles long and will include a combination of gravel road and packed dirt trail surfaces. The terrain is uneven and includes moderate elevation gain. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots are advised\, as trail conditions may vary depending on weather.  Oregon State Parks is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. DESCRIPTION:Come and join a Park Ranger on the lookout for local Townsend’s Big-eared Bats (Corynorhinus townsendii) on this guided nature walk. Meet at the Campground Amphitheater at 7:30pm for a Jr. Ranger Game\, before our guided walk starts at 8pm! The guided walk will continue down towards the Estacada Lake Dock to observe Bats foraging over the still water in the evening light! DESCRIPTION:NOTE* This event will occur every other Saturday in March and every other SundayApril through June. \nJoin Park Ranger\, Rhett\, for a morning of gentle hiking and bird identification. Walks start at 8:15am and last up to two hours. Some routes and trails will involve hiking on moderatley steep and muddy terrain. Bring your hot coffee and binocular\, and plan to dive into the quiet intricacies of birding in the forest. \nMeet at 8:15am in front of the Nature Center. We hope to see you there!
